Collagen is found in the main structural protein of various connective tissues in animals and humans.
As the main component of connective tissue, it is the most abundant protein in mammals and accounts for approximately 25% to 35% of total body protein content.
Collagen is most commonly found in elongated fibrillar form in fibrous tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and skin. It is also abundant in corneas, cartilage, bones, blood vessels, intestines, intervertebral discs, and dentin tissue. In muscle tissue, it serves as one of the main components of the endomysium.

What is Coltıx Cartiregen?
Coltıx Cartiregen® is 3% Type-I atelocollagen, synthesized inside the cell as individual pro-chains, each with an N-terminal and C-terminal propeptide, to help form a tightly packed triple-helix structure. It is involved in region-specific interactions that facilitate the formation of collagen and collagen fibrils, as well as in the cross-links required for fibril stabilization. Removal of the telopeptide regions allows for reduced antigenicity of this product.

Delivery
Coltıx Cartiregen Collagen is supplied in a prefilled sterile syringe containing 1 mL of 3% collagen gel. The only excipient in this translucent, sterile gel is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.
Storage
Coltıx Cartiregen Collagen is easy to store. It should be stored in a cool, dry place between 1° and 30°C, away from sunlight. Product stability for COLTRIX Collagen is 2 years.
